This recipe is a healthier twist on the classic recipe!

Simple ingredients, hearty-healthy fish, and on the table in under 20 minutes.

Takes about 20 minutes to prep and cook.

Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 wild-caught steelhead trout fillets

  • 1/2 cup of sliced almonds

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Salt and pepper

  • Organic parsley flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place fillets on a small baking sheet lined with unbleached parchment paper.

  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter with almonds, until lightly brown.

  4. Carefully pour the almonds and butter mixture over the trout.

  5. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and parsley on the trout.

  6. Cook for about 10 minutes, until fillets turn pink and almonds are toasted.

Optional: You can also use an organic fish spice mixture, such as Mama Patierno's Organic Chicken & Poultry Spice Rub.
